Andrea Cox, LCSW-S

Founder and Owner


Andrea Cox is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  Originally from San Antonio, Andrea moved away in 1997 to study psychology at Texas Tech University. After that, she moved on to study social work at the University of Chicago. Having the opportunity to study at the University of Chicago, one of the top-ranked schools in the world for social work, and internationally credited as one of the birth places of social work philosophy, was highly formative for her as a therapist. 


It is her goal to help children, adolescents, adults, and families cope during those difficult times of life and flourish during the good times. Andrea has worked in various medical healthcare settings throughout her career. She focuses her practice on treating adults and adolescents who experience mood disorders, trauma and issues with weight and body image, parenting teens and dealing with life stressors. Andrea is certified in Brainspotting and is paneled with Medicare, Traditional Medicaid, Aetna, BCBS, UHC, Humana, Superior and Tricare.


In her spare time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and children, attending local sports events, and hiking and traveling.

Elizabeth Ransom, LPC-S

Founder and Owner


Elizabeth Ransom is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 

Originally from Austin, Elizabeth moved to Lubbock in 2000, to study anthropology and psychology and Texas Tech University. During her time at Texas Tech University, she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Psychology. She was also able to participate as a research assistant at the Texas Tech University Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, gaining valuable insight in this field of study. Elizabeth obtained her Master's Degree in mental health counseling from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.


Elizabeth has worked in various healthcare settings throughout her career. She focuses her practice on treating adults and adolescents who experience mood disorders, issues with weight and body image, adjustment stress, and relationship issues. Elizabeth is paneled with Traditional Medicaid, Superior, Aetna, BCBS, UHC, Humana and Ambetter EPO only.


In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, visiting state parks, swimming, fishing, hiking, and cooking up new recipes.  She is always studying new techniques for relaxation and mindfulness, and natural approaches to healthy living.

Chenoa Moten, LCSW

Chenoa received her Masters in Social Work from Tulane University in 2015. She has been a therapist for over 7 years. Chenoa is experienced in case management, working with trauma victims and has specialized in working with at-risk populations such as individuals with HIV, BPOC and LGBTQIA+. She provides individual and family counseling for mood disorders with teens, adults and older adult populations. Chenoa is available for in person and telehealth appointments. She is paneled with Medicare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UHC and Humana.


In her free time, she has fun with her children, cuddling with them and reading.

Stephanie Martinez, LMSW, Supervised by Jessica Reynolds, LCSW-S

Stephanie is a queer xicana born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and her master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. She specializes in working with school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults. She has experience working with queer/trans/nonbinary/neurodiverse/disabled BIPOC. 

Stephanie cultivates a therapeutic space that is culturally responsive to the needs of clients. She intentionally explores the impact of ancestral and intergenerational trauma through the lens of intersectional feminism and anti-oppression. She integrates healing modalities that honor how our own lived experiences and identities influence the connection between our mind, body, and spirit. Stephanie encourages clients to self-determine their own healing process and co-create solutions that align with their authentic selves. 

Stephanie is our newest associate and works days and evenings. 

She offers in-person and virtual sessions. 

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Duke, LPC-Associate, Supervised by Elizabeth Ransom, LPC-S

Elizabeth (Lizzie) joined us in April 2022. Originally from Washington State, Lizzie left the rain as quickly as possible and received her Bachelor degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento. She then spent some time in Spain, teaching Social Studies in an elementary school, traveling, and learning Spanish. After her time abroad, Lizzie moved to Texas and earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).  During her time at UTSA she interned as a Career Counselor; helping students find their passions and take the next steps toward them. She continues to volunteer at the Children’s Bereavement Center, working with children and adolescents who are managing grief after the loss of a loved one.  Lizzie has a Person-Centered approach to counseling and often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based and Multicultural Counseling with clients. She has a special interest in personality assessments and has been studying Personality Typology Systems (such as Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, DISC and StrengthsFinder) for the past 10 years. She also enjoys utilizing creative interventions such as art therapy, play therapy, sandtray therapy and music therapy.  Lizzie has two cats named Houdini and Fettuccini, and enjoys crocheting, playing guitar, hiking and paddleboarding.

Lizzie is paneled with Cigna insurance at this time.

Tanya Navarro, LMSW, Supervised by Andrea Cox, LCSW-S

Tanya is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She was born and raised in San Antonio. Tanya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at Texas State University. She worked with at risk youth and their families as a Juvenile Probation Officer with Bexar County for 10 years. She then pursued her Masters in Social Work degree at Our Lady of the Lake University. During graduate school, Tanya completed an internship with Catholic Charities co-facilitating parenting groups and providing case management services. She also interned at Northeast Counseling Center providing individual and group therapy to adults and children. Tanya wants to focus on breaking the stigma of mental health within the Latino population. Her experiences of therapeutic approaches include strength based perspective, CBT, and motivational interviewing. Tanya wants to continue empowering clients through client-center approaches.   In her free time, Tanya enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys hiking and coffee.

Mailyn Sheldon, LCSW

Mailyn is currently paneled Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana. She is available for Telehealth ONLY weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Mailyn works well with middle school, high school, college age transitions and adults with life stressors.

We are thankful to have amazing and passionate licensed therapists under supervision and who have day and evening appointments available and who work well with kids, teens, and adults.
